| Contents | Swimming bacteria with helical flagella are self-propelled micro-swimmers in nature, and the swimming strategies of such bacteria vary depending on the number and the position of flagella on the cell body. Understanding the swimming mechanism of such bacteria is a challenging subject that involves interactions between the biological, engineering, mathematical, and physical sciences. In this talk I will present a versatile model of a self-propelled microswimmer that can address the underlying mechanisms of the complex hydrodynamics of bacteria such as E. coli. | ||
